Al Muntada supports migrants of Arab descent living in Berlin. Many of them come from Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. The counselling is aimed at people of all ages and takes place in Neukölln.

At Al Muntada Plus, a lawyer offers legal advice. He provides support and information on asylum procedures and questions about migration law.

Al Nadi (Arabic for "the club") has existed since 1979 and is a central contact and advice centre for Arab women from all over Berlin.

Advice and assistance with

• family, social and immigration law issues,
• domestic violence, marriage, separation and divorce...
• personal problems
• parenting problems and questions about daycare and school
• problems with authorities, job centre etc.

In cases of domestic violence, we have lawyers come to the shelters, etc.

In addition, Al Nadi:

• Language courses for women and children
• Literacy courses for women
• Sports and health courses
• Nutritional courses for women of all nationalities

Together under one roof" is aimed at people who live in shared accommodation and want to take the step into their own apartment. The goal of the project is to accompany the transition into their own apartment, from the search for housing to settling into the new living environment.

If interested and needed, we also offer assistance to new immigrants who have problems finding their way around the Berlin housing market. Tenants who have questions about their tenancy agreement, tenancy law and utility bills can also find support from us.

Counselling and support for people in Berlin who experience racist and related discrimination (People of Color, Muslims, Romnja*, Sintezza*, Jews, people with migration history and/or others...) through:

• Information and counselling interview

• Assistance in the sense of § 23 AGG (General Equal Treatment Act)
• Referral to lawyers, psychologists, doctors and other specialised counselling centres.

The aim of the projects is to familiarize refugees with the skills required for the respective occupational area, to further qualify them, to prepare them for training and to continue to support them during their training.

The ARRIVO BERLIN training coaching of the Berlin Chamber of Skilled Crafts advises and supports companies and accompanies their trainees with a refugee background during the training period, in particular through the following offers:

• Individual and goal-oriented counselling of companies and their

• Searching for, arranging and organizing language courses and

Since April 2016, the Berufsförderungswerk der Fachgemeinschaft Bau Berlin und Brandenburg gGmbH has been offering vocational preparation measures in the main construction trade for refugees at the Lehrbauhof in Marienfelde. This introduces refugees to the German labour market and prepares them for training in professions in the construction industry. Accompanying German and mathematics lessons in preparation for the subsequent vocational school lessons play a special role here. If successfully completed, the participants are placed in an apprenticeship at the end of the project.

Wille gGmbH mediates between companies and job-seeking refugees in the health sector.

The model project provides the following services for refugees:

ARRIVO BERLIN Hospitality promotes the training and employment of refugees in Berlin's hospitality industry.

The offer is as follows:

• Counselling in all questions of career orientation.
• German courses (also online)
• Internships and work shadowing in hotels and restaurants
• Support in the preparation of application documents and in dealing with the authorities
• Support in the placement process until the conclusion of a training and employment contract

Kiezküchen GmbH supports young refugees in gaining a foothold in the German job market: Placement in apprenticeships and jobs in Berlin hotels and restaurants. Before that, German courses and internships are offered

The ARRIVO BERLIN RingPraktikum of TeachCom Edutainment gGmbH brings refugees from non-safe countries of origin into training and work. Refugees with work permits are quickly brought into contact with Berlin companies through internships and are given a professional perspective in Germany. In return, the participating companies are given the opportunity to fill positions with motivated employees. Both interns and companies receive intensive support in order to facilitate integration into everyday working life. The participants learn the necessary technical language through language courses. Curriculum vitae coaching and skills assessment prepare the participants specifically for the respective occupational fields.

Since June 2017, the Berlin SHK guild has been offering the following support to interested parties who are seeking to train as a SHK plant mechanic or have already begun doing so and have a refugee background:

Phase 1:

• Competence assessment
• Placement in an internship
• job application training
• remedial teaching in specialist theory and German for the job.

Phase 2:

• Social-pedagogical support during the training.
• Support courses in specialist theory and German for the job
• Comprehensive counselling of participants and training companies
• Upon request: assumption of moderation in the event of irritations and crises.

ARRIVO Soziales offers counselling for young refugees who are looking for an apprenticeship. It is possible to join us at any time and participation is free of charge.

In the ARRIVO BERLIN training workshops of the S27, refugees are prepared for vocational training in the skilled trades. A course lasts an average of 16 weeks and comprises three modules:

• a language course that teaches vocational vocabulary and career information.
• a workshop course to provide orientation in the various skilled crafts occupational fields
• specialist courses in Berlin craft guilds, where insights into specific professions can be gained

This is followed by a placement in a craft enterprise. Participation is free of charge and possible at any time. The number of places is limited.
