At the ÜBERLEBEN Centre (formerly the Treatment Centre for Torture Victims e.V.) we work nationally and internationally for survivors of torture and war violence. Men, women and children from around 50 countries come to us for help - current hotspots are: Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Eritrea, Somalia and Turkey.

In the department for refugee aid, refugees and migrants find a wide range of services, from psychological, legal and social counselling to professional qualification and placement in training and work.

Elişi Evi e.V. was founded in 1983 by teachers and social pedagogues from the neighbouring Refik Veseli School to offer women and girls with a migration background their own protected space.

Women's Counselling TARA is an intercultural contact and counselling centre for women who live in a conflictual relationship and are threatened, beaten or abused. We want to give women the opportunity to reconsider their situation and to look for ways out of the violent situation.
