Women experience physical, sexual and psychological violence in their marriage or partnership. In this private environment, which should convey trust and security, women and children are particularly often exposed to physical and emotional violence.

Fear, shame and feelings of guilt make it difficult to talk about what they have experienced. In this situation we offer women help and support.

Offers

Counselling:

  • by telephone and in person
  • support in clarifying the current situation
  • emotional relief and the opportunity to reflect on one's own situation in peace and quiet

Information and support on:

  • police instruction
  • applications according to the Protection against Violence Act, such as allocation of the home, protection orders
  • filing charges and criminal proceedings

For migrants and refugees in Treptow-Köpenick

InteraXion, welcome office and housing counselling for people with migration and refugee experience in Treptow-Köpenick, offers initial and referral counselling in questions arising from the everyday life of arriving.

The project provides support in arriving in the district and in the topics of housing and housing and creates (multilingual) handouts for this purpose and is available for consultation to migrants, refugees, (full-time and voluntary) supporters, rental agencies and other agencies. In addition, the project organizes celebrations and thematic workshops in cooperation with other associations.

It administers the <aref="https://www.facebook.com/groups/640893109419012f" class="active">Facebook group: "Welcome to Treptow-Köpenick!" and, in cooperation with tjfbg e.V., also runs a women's meeting place on the Kiezspindel campus and supports a language café organized by volunteers. Together with Über den Tellerrand e.V., it organizes community events in Schöneweide and supports the magazine RawafedZusammenfluss, where neighbors can tell their stories. The Welcome Office follows a participatory and intersectional approach.
