Was ist psychosoziale Beratung?

Fühlst du dich gestresst, einsam oder machst du dir ständig Sorgen? Nach der Ankunft in einem neuen Land erleben viele Menschen Schlafprobleme und Stress oder fühlen sich einsam. Manchmal wirken auch schwierige Erfahrungen aus dem Herkunftsland oder auf dem Weg nach Deutschland nach. Psychosoziale Beratung ist ein Gesprächsangebot. Beratende hören dir zu. Sie helfen dir, besser mit diesen Belastungen umzugehen – egal, ob du neu in Berlin bist oder schon länger hier lebst.

Diese Art von Beratung gibt es in Berlin kostenlos, vertraulich und oft mehrsprachig. Du musst keine Krankheit oder ärztliche Diagnose haben, um Beratung zu bekommen. Es reicht, wenn du dich nicht gut fühlst oder einfach jemanden zum Reden brauchst.

Wann kann psychosoziale Beratung helfen?

Psychosoziale Beratung kann Dir zum Beispiel bei folgenden Problemen helfen:

  • Stress und Überforderung
  • Einsamkeit, Angst und Heimweh
  • Traurigkeit und Suizidgedanken
  • Traumatischen Erfahrungen
  • Problemen mit Diskriminierung
  • Stress durch Behörden oder Papierarbeit

Psychosoziale Beratung ist etwas anderes als Psychotherapie . Psychosoziale Beratung hilft bei Alltagsproblemen und seelischen Belastungen. Psychotherapie behandelt psychische Erkrankungen und wird oft von der Krankenversicherung bezahlt. Wenn du unsicher bist, kannst du mit einer psychosozialen Beratung starten und mit der Beratungsstelle entscheiden, was für dich passt.

Wer kann psychosoziale Beratung in Anspruch nehmen?

Die meisten Angebote der psychosozialen Beratung sind für alle Menschen ab 18 Jahren, die in Berlin leben und psychosoziale Unterstützung brauchen. Es gibt auch spezielle Angebote für Kinder und Jugendliche. Auch für Frauen, für Menschen mit Behinderungen, für LSBTIQ+ und weitere Gruppen gibt es spezielle Angebote.

Wer kann kommen? 

  • Menschen mit Flucht- oder Migrationserfahrung, die schwierige Erlebnisse gemacht haben und Hilfe wünschen
  • Personen, die unter Stress, Angst, Einsamkeit oder Überforderung leiden
  • Menschen mit verschiedenen Aufenthaltstiteln (auch Duldung oder befristeter Aufenthalt)
  • Familien, Frauen und Jugendliche, die Unterstützung in ihrem Alltag brauchen
  • Personen, die wegen Problemen mit Behörden oder Papieren unter Stress leiden
  • Auch Menschen, die bereits in Therapie waren und nach der Behandlung weiter Unterstützung suchen

Brauchst du Hilfe?

Auch ohne Krankenversicherung kannst du psychosoziale Beratung bekommen. Viele Angebote sind kostenlos. Beratungsstellen helfen dir auch, wenn du geduldet bist oder keinen festen Aufenthaltstitel hast. Du brauchst keine Überweisung oder Diagnose von einem Arzt oder einer Ärztin, um diese Beratung zu bekommen. Manchmal musst du länger warten, bis du einen Termin bekommst.

Wie läuft die Beratung ab?

Hier siehst du Schritt für Schritt, wie eine psychosoziale Beratung abläuft:

  • Du kannst bei Beratungsstellen anrufen, eine E-Mail schreiben oder persönlich vorbeikommen und einen Termin vereinbaren
  • Beim ersten Gespräch wird gemeinsam geschaut, welche Hilfe für dich passt
  • Es gibt Einzelgespräche, Gruppen oder Kurse zur mehr Stabilität im Alltag (z. B. Frauengruppen, Berufsorientierung)
  • Alles bleibt vertraulich
  • Oft gibt es Sprachmittlung , z. B. auf Arabisch, Farsi, Ukrainisch, Englisch, Französisch und anderen Sprachen. Teilweise gibt es muttersprachliche Beratung oder es werden Dolmetschende hinzugezogen. Du kannst also in der für Dich passenden Sprache sprechen
  • Wenn nötig, wirst Du zu speziellen Fragen an andere Beratungsstellen weitergeleitet

At the ÜBERLEBEN Centre (formerly the Treatment Centre for Torture Victims e.V.) we work nationally and internationally for survivors of torture and war violence. Men, women and children from around 50 countries come to us for help - current hotspots are: Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Eritrea, Somalia and Turkey.

In the department for refugee aid, refugees and migrants find a wide range of services, from psychological, legal and social counselling to professional qualification and placement in training and work.
