In a company-based vocational training program, you learn a profession, mainly in a company or an institution, for example in a bakery, hotel or public authorities. You work there and usually receive an apprenticeship allowance. You will also attend vocational school on some days, where you will learn the theory of your recognized apprenticeship occupation. This form of apprenticeship is also known as dual education system.
