Landlord's Confirmation of Residence

The Wohnungsgeberbestätigung (landlord's confirmation of residence) is a document from your landlord. It confirms that you have moved into or out of an apartment.

You need this document when registering your address at the Bürgeramt (Citizens’ Office).

You receive the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung (landlord's confirmation of residence) from your landlord. This can also be a property management company. They must give you the document no later than 2 weeks after you move in.

• the name and address of the landlord
• the address of the apartment
• the move-in or move-out date
• the names of the people moving in or out
