You need this document when registering your address at the Bürgeramt (Citizens’ Office).
Where can I get it?
You receive the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung (landlord's confirmation of residence) from your landlord. This can also be a property management company. They must give you the document no later than 2 weeks after you move in.
How does it look?
The Wohnungsgeberbestätigung (landlord's confirmation of residence) is a form. It includes, for example:
- the name and address of the landlord
- the address of the apartment
- the move-in or move-out date
- the names of the people moving in or out
