What is it?

Volkshochschulen (VHS; adult education centers) are places where people in Berlin can learn. You can take courses to develop your skills, learn a language or simply learn something new.

The courses are usually very affordable and sometimes even free.

Who is it for?

Anyone aged 15 or older can take courses here.

Where can I find the authority?

Every district in Berlin has its own Volkshochschule. You can also register at a Volkshochschule in another district.
