You have the right to free movement if you are a citizen of an EU member state, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland and you live in Germany for one of these reasons:
- you are looking for work
- you are working, either as an employee or self-employed
- you are doing vocational training
- you are not working but have enough money to support yourself
Your family members also have the right to free movement if they come to Germany with you or join you later. This also applies if they are not EU citizens.
