What is it?
A Sprachzertifikat (language certificate) is a document that shows how well you speak a language. Your language level is usually rated from A1 (beginner) to C2 (advanced).

Where can I get it?
You receive a Sprachzertifikat after you pass a language exam. You can take the exam at a Volkshochschule (adult education center), a language school, or an official test center.
What does it look like?
Depending on the test, the certificate may look different. On page 2, you can find an example of the "Deutschtest für Zuwanderer" (German Test for Immigrants) certificate.
