The Pflegeversicherung (long-term care insurance) in Germany helps pay for care if you need help with everyday activities. If you have public health insurance, you are automatically covered by the Pflegeversicherung, too. The contributions are automatically taken out of your pay. If you have private health insurance, you also need a private Pflegeversicherung (private long-term care insurance).
