What is it?
A Rundfunkbeitragsbescheid (broadcasting fee notice) is a letter from the Beitragsservice (Broadcasting Fee Service). It tells you how much you have to pay for the Rundfunkbeitrag (broadcasting fee).
Where can I get it?
You will receive the letter from the Beitragsservice. It will be sent to the address where you are registered.
In Germany, every household generally has to pay the Rundfunkbeitrag. If you receive certain social benefits, you may be able to apply for an exemption, for example if you receive Asylbewerberleistungen (asylum seeker benefits).
What does it look like?
The Rundfunkbeitragsbescheid is a letter. It contains important information, such as:
- your contribution number
- the amount you have to pay
- payment details
